Fantastic Intel iMac with Core Duo Processor.

This machine is a rocket! I have been using this as my primary work machine for internet development work and it never skips a beat. Having a dual core processor keeps the system extremely responsive. I have upgraded the machine to 2GB of RAM and it absolutely flies. Memory-intensive programs like iPhoto, Photoshop and Flash run butter smooth, all at the same time. Makes work life a lot easier!

The video memory has been upgraded to 256MB, which means faster graphics for more graphic intensive programs - photography work, games, 3D etc. I've always run the machine with a second display, and with dual display the benefit of the extra video memory is even more pronnounced, as the second display uses up another chunk of video memory. This upgrade had to be performed at the time of initial purchase - so it was then or never, so I went for it and haven't looked back!

This iMac has been a joy to use, and would be an excellent mac for an introduction to the Apple world (large screen, extremely fast and responsive), or for a more capable user (editing home movies and photos), or for the professional (tonnes of memory and a speedy processor). It comes with an Apple Remote for using Front Row - Apple's cool interface for watching movies, photos etc while sitting far away and operating your computer with the remote. It includes a built in iSight video camera for video conferencing. I've also made good use of its support for Bootcamp - which means you can install Windows XP and 'dual boot' to either the mac or windows - two machines in one!

It has, without exception, handled every task I have thrown at it perfectly.

I will be shipping the iMac with its Apple Keyboard, Mighty Mouse and Apple Remote for use with Front Row. All original discs, cables and manuals will be included - including Mac OS X Tiger, and iLife, which includes iMovie, iDVD, Garageband, iPhoto, iWeb, iTunes etc. The machine will be shipped in its original packaging in perfect condition for that as-new experience!
